DG Hub Manifest User Guide
DG Hub can be used to create and submit DG manifests to PoMC and other organisations as an alternative to EDI transmission. The information must be manually entered into DG Hub. DG Hub is easy to use for anyone familiar with Multimodal Dangerous Goods Forms (MO41s) and email systems.
In your web browser, go to www.dghub.com.au . You will need to Register before being able to access DG Hub. This is quick and simple. Refer to the online Help screen if you need assistance.
When you have logged in, click on Manifests on the left hand side of the screen if you are not already in the Manifests screen. To open a new manifest click on
New above the table for listing manifests.
The next step is to select the vessel. You can search by the vessel name, its IMO number, or by a date range. To select the vessel double click on the row in the table, or you can click on Select in the left most column or use the Select & Close button. If you cannot find the correct vessel visit, then the principal agent will need to enter the visit details before you can proceed.
Once you have selected the vessel and visit, you can start entering the container details by clicking on the button. This will display a screen which looks like a Multimodal Dangerous Goods Form (or MO41). Note that at the top of the screen the status for the Container is automatically set to Final. If you do not yet have all of the details set the Status to Draft, and later reset the status to Final when you complete the details.
Fill out the form by either typing the information, using the to choose from a dropdown list, or by using

for the correct UNLOCODE for the Ports of Loading and Discharge, or you can enter the UNLOCODE if you already know it.

If you know the UN No., type it into the UN No. Box and click the Search button. If you do not know the UN No. Click on the Search button and you will be able to search for the Proper Shipping Name. Click on the row for the correct entry and use the
Select & Close button to select and close the search screen, or simply double click on the correct row. Depending on your selection, additional information may need to be entered such as the Technical Name or Flashpoint. These fields are marked with a red asterisk (*).
You can use the icon to calculate the cubic measurement of the goods item. The Packaging Types list can be searched using the
icon. Additional packages can be added using the Add Packaging link at the bottom left of the screen. When you have finished entering the details click the
Save & Close button to Save and Close that goods item. Keep adding goods items until all of the DG in the container has been entered.
Next add the Container details. To automatically calculate the total gross weight use the icon.
At this point you can optionally send the Multimodal Dangerous Goods Form to another party.
Other Registered users of DG Hub can be found by clicking their company type category button, or you can type an email address into the Other Recipients box. Other Recipients will receive the Form as a PDF and will not be able to update any details. Sending the Form will automatically Save and Close it. If you do not want to send the Form, click the Save & Close button at the top of the screen to Save and Close the container details. Keep adding containers until all of the DG onboard the vessel has been entered.
Now you can Send the manifest to another Registered User from a drop down list, or to an Other Recipient by typing in their email address. Note that Other Recipients will receive a file and will not be able to amend the information in DG Hub. Registered Users will be able to access the manifest within the DG Hub and update the information. If you want the third party to be able to amend manifests in future use the
Invite Trusted Party link on the right to invite them to join DG Hub. You do not need to email the manifest to PoMC as they will receive it when it is saved.
